High blood pressure is a very serious disease. It can be known to damage your vital organs and in the worst cases can cause death. Those individuals that have high blood pressure will most likely not have any warning signs and when the warning signs do appear it is usually too late as the damage is already done. You would be wise to go see your doctor to find out whether you have high blood pressure or not.
Blood pressure is said to be normal and at a healthy stage when it is 120 over 80. This will and does differ between our varied races and geographic locations. Blood pressure that is 140 over 100 is said to be high. A few degrees above normal may not cause any issues but a large increase can be fatal.
As you are aware high blood pressure does not give warning signs. There are however a few specific warnings that you can be aware of. Over the top headaches can be a tell tale sign of high blood pressure, and watch to see if they are happening more frequently. Losing your breath after you exercise or walk briskly is another sign that you may have high blood pressure. Another warning sign could be an increase in nosebleeds or an increase in bleeding from other areas of your body. If you begin to notice these tell tale warning signs it would be wise to contact your doctor immediately.
High blood pressure can cause major damage to a large area of your body if left untreated. Your vision may become blurry and as a result of high blood pressure it could become impaired. High blood pressure will also be able to cause damage to your brain. We are all aware that our brains require oxygen and nutrition, which we receive from our blood stream. Once this is impaired by high blood pressure it can cause us to have a mini-stroke, a full stroke and also can lead to dementia as we age. High blood pressure can also cause us to have heart attacks and is the leading cause of heart failure.
Unfortunately high blood pressure usually goes unnoticed and will cause a lot of damage to our bodies. If high blood pressure is detected early we are more likely to not have to experience any of the drastic consequences that are talked about above. You would be wise to go to your doctor as soon as possible and have your high blood pressure tested. If it is caught in the early stages you can manage it with medication, proper diet and exercise.

On June 30, 2009, the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) updated the count of H-1B petitions received and counted towards the 65,000 cap.
As of June 26, 2009, 44,800 H-1B cap subject nonimmigrant visa petitions have been filed. USCIS has advised that they will continue to accept petitions until the cap is reached. Additionally, USCIS reported that they received 20,000 advanced degree H-1B petitions. Although the limit on advanced degree petitions is 20,000, past experience has tended to show that not all petitions received are approvable.
Accordingly, qualifying applicants are still able to petition for an H-1B nonimmigrant visa either under the general cap, or as an applicant with an advanced degree. (i.e., U.S. Master’s degree)
If you have any questions surrounding the H-1B nonimmigrant visa program, please contact our office.

Blood iron disorders involve either the excess, deficiency or abnormal utilization of iron in the blood. In most cases this affects the blood and tissue oxygenation as the red blood cells are responsible for gas exchange between the blood and environment.
Red blood cells contain an iron-protein (metalloprotein) compound called hemoglobin. Hemoglobin binds to oxygen or carbon dioxide and transports it through the blood, carrying oxygen from the lungs to the tissues and carbon dioxide from the tissues to the lungs to be expelled in the environment. This process is essential for normal life processes. Red blood cells are constantly destroyed by the body and breakdown products are excreted in the stool. Simultaneously, the body produces new red blood cells on a constant basis to ensure a balance between and loss and new red blood cells.

You can find the original recipe on Kraft Canada's website but I have included it in my post.

Prep Time: 15 min
Total Time: 4 hr 30 min
Makes: 12 servings

What You Need!
1 pkg. (298 g) pound cake
2 cups boiling water
2 pkg. (85 g each) JELL-O Strawberry Jelly Powder
3 cups ice cubes
3 cups sliced fresh strawberries, divided
2 cups thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping or Real Whipping Cream

Make It!
- BAKE cake in a 13x9-inch dish; set aside.
- ADD boiling water to jelly powders in large bowl; stir 2 min. until completely dissolved. Add ice cubes; stir 3 to 5 min. or until jelly is thickened. Remove any unmelted ice. Stir in 1 cup strawberries; pour over cake slices. Refrigerate 15 min. Cover with Cool Whip or Real Whipping Cream
- REFRIGERATE 4 hours or until jelly is firm. Arrange remaining strawberries over dessert to resemble the Canadian flag.

(Sorry about the messy cake pan! I was too excited to dig in, then to worry about cleaning off the edges of the pan before I took my picture.)

I will make sure to save you a piece if you are coming to my Crop Till You Drop this Saturday.
